Open on Saturday afternoon.
The 15th-seeded Keys reached her first career Grand Slam final without much of a fight from fellow American and 20th-seeded CoCo Vandeweghe, us open tennis womens semifinals results allowed Keys to dominate 6-1, 6-2 in their 66-minute match.
Keys, who never faced a break point, finished the night off in grand style by sending herself into the final with an ace.
Her reaction to the perfect conclusion was to yelp with glee and raise her arms in victory.
I think I played pretty well tonight.
Venus Williams won the title here twice and Serena Williams won it six times.

OPEN STEPHENS: DEL POTRO: MURRAY: Keys, whose previous best result at the U.
Open was fourth-round finishes the past two years, won her third career title at Stanford earlier this summer.
Her best Grand Slam outing prior to this U.
Open was starring in the 2015 Australian Open semifinal.
Both finalists are coming off of late starts to the season.
The 22-year-old Keys had two wrist surgeries since the final event in 2016 in Singapore, the last procedure coming between playing the French Open and Wimbledon.
The 24-year-old Stephens was out for 11 months after the 2016 Rio Olympics with a left foot stress fracture and was in a walking boot a month before returning to the tour at Wimbledon.
In comparison, Vandeweghe posted 22 unforced errors and nine winners.
The only moment of concern for Keys came at 6-1, 4-1 when she required a medical timeout off the court to have her right thigh wrapped.
Vandeweghe was playing in her second career Grand Slam semifinal having reached her first at the Australian Open this year.
Until this summer, Keys and the 25-year-old Vandeweghe had never competed against each other.
Keys now holds a 3-0 winning edge over Vandeweghe having played her in the final at Stanford, the first round at Cincinnati and now the Open semifinal.
